Adding annotations and hotspots

Annotations are text callouts that guide viewers through each step of your demo. They appear as styled tooltips pointing to the relevant UI element.

AI generates annotations automatically during capture. Each step gets a description based on what you clicked and the page context.

Click any annotation in the editor to modify it. You can change the text, move it to a different position, adjust its size, and change the arrow direction.

Annotation styles include color, border radius, shadow, and arrow position. Match them to your brand for a polished look.

Hotspots are invisible clickable areas that viewers interact with to advance to the next step. They are placed where you clicked during capture.

You can reposition hotspots by dragging them in the editor. Add multiple hotspots per step if there are several valid click targets.

Best practice: keep annotation text short and action-oriented. Tell viewers what to do, not what the feature is. Example: "Click Create Project" instead of "The Create Project button allows you to start a new workspace."
