Aceframe ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Aceframe website, Chrome extension, and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

  • Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Demo content: Screenshots, annotations, and other content you create using the Service.
  • Lead data: If you enable email gating, we collect email addresses that viewers provide.
  • Feedback: Any information you provide when contacting support or submitting feedback.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: We collect analytics about how demos are viewed, including view counts, step completion, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location.
  • Log data: Our servers automatically record information including your IP address, browser type, and timestamps when you access the Service.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use a referral tracking cookie when users arrive via referral links.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Display analytics about your demo performance
  • Send important notifications about your account or the Service
  • Respond to your support requests and feedback

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We use third-party services including Vercel (hosting and database), Google (authentication), and Cloudflare (CDN and image storage) to operate the Service.
  • Public demos: When you share a demo via a public link or embed, the demo content is accessible to anyone with the link.
  • Lead data: Email addresses captured through email gating are visible only to the demo creator.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Vercel's infrastructure and Cloudflare R2 storage. Screenshots are compressed to AVIF format and stored securely. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and secure authentication via OAuth 2.0.

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and User Content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Analytics data (view events, step events) may be retained in anonymized form for product improvement purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your information
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

  • Authentication cookies: Essential for keeping you signed in (managed by NextAuth.js).

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Our service providers (Vercel, Cloudflare, Google) operate globally. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
